morTego's musical influences and tastes are diverse: from classic rock, blues, and jazz, to classical and world music, and from funk to country, the particular fusion of these elements creates a sound that allows the ‘Shoals’-area roots to shine through with a fresh take.
With more than 100 years of combined musical experience, morTego creates an uncommonly rich sound.
Having played stages such as: WC Handy Festival, Panoply, The Exit Inn, The Cannery, First Fridays-Downtown Florence, UAHuntsville, UNA, The Kaffeklatsch, The Crossroads, and showcasing for ASCAP and BMI, and, some having earned radio-airplay at different times in the past, each musician brings a healthy dose of expertise to this ensemble.
