A little basement studio where bonafide Muscle Shoals Music Magic can and does happen. Not every night, but plenty of the nights i was there. I am not the Proprietor of Studio G, but i am a many-time participant at this Studio and many other Parties, Sessions, and leisurely jams by The Singing River. Very little video material was shot during any sessions that i was in Studio G (so far), but there is some here, and more Audio from past sessions are forthcoming.
I can report that i saw the Proprietor of Studio G have to use some of the sketchiest of gear, and have one of the steeper learning curves in Audio - Video production of almost anybody i knew over the years. And, about half of all the equipment and studio furnishings were salvage, or should have been ... And yet manage to build a fun and useful home studio. One that I consider to be part of what might be called the Muscle Shoals Underground.
Art, dedication, devotion, and plenty of inspired talent to boot down at Studio G ... Southern Progressive Rock - yep, it exists and they've got it. Blues/Funk Swamp Boogie - can't help it. Classic Rock - cut their teeth on it. Southern Rock - in my book, Nobody can do it better. Completely improvisational experimental Music - believe it or not; one of their specialties ... and the list goes on.
Since it's still a private residence, I won't say where, who, when, what ,,, etc ... other than it's less than 3 miles from the northern shore of the Singing River.
